Abdeljalil Akkari is a professor and the director of the International and Comparative Education Research Group at the University of Geneva (ERDIE), Switzerland, and serves as a visiting professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Kazakhstan. Previously, he held the position of Dean of Research at the HEP-BEJUNE Higher Pedagogical Institute in Biel, Switzerland, and was an assistant professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County in the United States. His extensive experience and publications focus on international cooperation, curriculum development, education quality, education planning, multicultural education, teacher training, and educational inequalities. His recent works include Rethinking Education: Educational Alternatives from the Global South (UNESCO) and Intercultural Approaches to Education: From Theory to Practice (Springer).
