Overview
The BBA Operations and Supply Chain specialisation at Sharda University combines a full business education with focused training in operations and logistics management. Students build foundations in operations management and entrepreneurship development during the common years, then specialise in Year 3 through case studies and live projects covering inventory, logistics, and demand forecasting. Delivered fully online by the NAAC A+ accredited university, the programme combines live online learning with industry mentorship, internships, and placement preparation aimed at operations, logistics, and supply chain consulting roles.
Why BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)?
The Operations and Supply Chain specialisation is closely tied to Sharda's entrepreneurship culture, giving students the chance to apply supply chain principles to real ventures launched during the programme rather than studying logistics purely in theory. Graduates have used inventory, logistics, and demand forecasting skills gained in this track to build direct-to-consumer brands generating real annual revenue while still completing their degree. This practical, founder-oriented approach is paired with placement pathways into manufacturing, FMCG, automotive, logistics, e-commerce, and consulting firms for students who prefer corporate operations roles over entrepreneurship.

Admission to the BBA programme follows a five-step process beginning with an online application accompanied by Class 12 marksheets, open to candidates from any stream with a minimum of 50% marks. Academically, the programme is structured across six semesters over three years, building core business foundations in Year 1, advancing into business law, research methods, and international business in Year 2, and culminating in a specialisation-focused capstone with industry projects in Year 3. The curriculum integrates AI tools throughout, from prompt engineering and AI applications in business analytics to ethical AI and automation, alongside an internship component and research-based learning modules in the final year, all delivered through the online learning platform.

Curriculum
The BBA curriculum is organised across six semesters and structured around three progressive stages, delivered fully online. Year 1 establishes core business foundations, covering business economics, financial accounting, principles of management, business mathematics, and an introduction to AI, before advancing into cost accounting, organisational behaviour, marketing management, business statistics, and prompt engineering for generative AI. Year 2 builds on this foundation with business law, human resource management, business research methods, and AI applications in business analytics, followed by international business, financial management, operations management, entrepreneurship development, and an internship. Year 3 introduces the chosen specialisation alongside corporate strategy, business taxation, innovation and design thinking, corporate governance, security analysis, retail management, and two research-based learning projects that allow students to apply specialisation skills to live business problems.
There are 6 semesters in this course
Each semester combines core theory with applied business projects across the BBA curriculum. Early semesters establish foundations in accounting, economics, management principles, and introductory AI tools, while mid-programme semesters add business law, research methods, human resource management, and international business, supported by an internship placement. The final year channels these foundations into the chosen specialisation, pairing elective modules with corporate strategy, governance, and two research-based learning projects so that the specialisation skills are applied to real business problems by graduation.
