Curriculum
The Online MCA curriculum is structured across four semesters totalling 80 credits, with a progressive build from foundational computing to advanced specialisation. Semester 1 introduces statistical methods, data structures, problem solving in C, database management systems, and soft skills. Semester 2 covers algorithms, operating systems, Java programming, and a core computer science subject alongside soft skills continuation. Semester 3 transitions into applied software development with software engineering, Python with web frameworks, web technology, and the first two stream-specific elective papers. Semester 4 deepens the specialisation with NLP, cloud computing, two further stream papers, and a project with viva voce. Elective modules from a broader pool — including digital image processing, mobile computing, IoT, e-commerce, and IT infrastructure management — provide additional breadth. The three specialisation streams focus on Full Stack Development (Low Code Programming, Software Design, Design Thinking, Full Stack Web App Development), AI and Data Science (Fundamentals of AI, Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, Healthcare Data Analytics), and Cyber Security (Cryptography, Ethical Hacking, ML for Cybersecurity, Blockchain).
There are 4 semesters in this course
Semester 1 establishes the computing foundation with statistical methods, data structures, C programming, database management systems, and Soft Skills I. Students build logical and analytical skills that underpin all subsequent technical learning. Semester 2 progresses into design and analysis of algorithms, operating system concepts, Java programming, a core computer science subject, and Soft Skills II, reinforcing both theoretical and applied capabilities. Semester 3 introduces software engineering, Python with web frameworks, web technology, and the first two papers of the chosen specialisation stream, allowing students to begin deepening their domain focus. Semester 4 completes the programme with NLP, cloud computing, two further stream-specific papers, and a capstone project with viva voce that integrates the learning from all four semesters into a real-world deliverable. Stream courses for Full Stack Development cover low code programming, software design and testing, design thinking, and full stack web application development. The AI and Data Science stream covers AI and data science fundamentals, machine learning techniques, predictive analytics and data visualisation, and data analytics for healthcare. The Cyber Security stream covers cryptography and network security, cyber security and ethical hacking, machine learning for cybersecurity, and enterprise blockchain frameworks.
