Overview
This Advanced Engineering Program in AI Agent Workflows and Agentic Systems Development, offered by IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation — the Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Madras — is a rigorous 7-month program designed to transform working professionals into workflow-first AI leaders. Rather than focusing on individual agent construction, the program emphasizes end-to-end orchestration of enterprise-ready multi-agent systems, context engineering, human-in-the-loop governance, and seamless integration with business infrastructure.
Founded under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, IITM Pravartak sits at the intersection of academia, research, and industry within the IIT Madras Research Park ecosystem. The program is co-delivered with Futurense, whose Leadership Council brings guidance from senior AI and analytics executives across Google, Spotify, Schneider Electric, Microsoft, and other global enterprises. Participants engage through weekend live sessions, hands-on labs, and multi-agent simulations, culminating in a capstone agentic workflow project reviewed by IITM faculty and industry mentors. An optional 3-day campus immersion at IITM Pravartak provides direct access to cutting-edge labs and research facilities.
Why Artificial Intelligence?
This program stands apart by adopting a workflow-first philosophy — training participants not just to build agents, but to design systems where agents collaborate, govern themselves, and deliver measurable enterprise outcomes. With direct mentorship from IIT Madras faculty (Professors Balaji Srinivasan, Ganapathy Krishnamurthi, and Kushal Shah) and the Futurense Leadership Council of 50+ industry leaders, learners gain unmatched academic and professional guidance.
The curriculum spans 17 structured modules covering the full agentic AI stack — from deep learning foundations to advanced multi-agent orchestration — with hands-on exposure to 30+ enterprise tools including LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, GPT-4, Claude, Zapier, and Guardrails. Unlike standard AI agent courses that focus on demos and sandboxes, this program builds enterprise-grade, production-ready workflows integrated with real business systems (APIs, CRMs, ERPs). A capstone project, AI Clinic sessions, weekly sprints, and career support from day one make this a comprehensive pathway to high-demand AI leadership roles.
