The curriculum structure covers a comprehensive range of topics including integrated supply chain simulation, strategic directions, supply chain alignment/strategy/metrics, procurement and inventory management, data-driven decisions/supply chain analytics, supply chain finance, logistics (Sea, Air, Rail, Road), distribution strategies, transportation and routing, warehousing, supply chain contracts, pricing and revenue management, supply chain sustainability, humanitarian and non-profit supply chains, service supply chains, latest trends, blockchain, business model innovations, supply chain coordination and platforms, simulation/predictive/digital twin, risk management in supply chains, industry applications, and introduction to supply chain decisions.

The curriculum structure covers a comprehensive range of modules including integrated supply chain simulation, strategic directions, supply chain alignment, procurement and inventory management, data-driven decisions, supply chain finance, logistics across various modes, distribution strategies, transportation and routing, warehousing, contracts, pricing and revenue management, sustainability, humanitarian supply chains, service supply chains, latest trends including blockchain and business model innovations, coordination and platforms, simulation techniques, risk management, and industry-specific applications. The programme concludes with a supply chain project presentation.

Programme Length

Spread over 5-6 months with 2 campus modules (6 days) at IIMA on March 8-11, 2025 and August 13-14, 2025, plus live online sessions every Sunday (10 AM to 1 PM).

Tuition Fee

Programme Fees: INR 4,00,000/- + GST. The payment is structured in two installments: Initial Payment of INR 2,00,000 + GST upon acceptance, and Final Payment of INR 2,00,000 + GST due on June 10, 2025. Fees to be paid directly to IIMA only through their payment gateway. An application fee of INR 2,000 + GST (non-refundable) is also required.

Learning Experience

The pedagogy is highly interactive, leveraging technology with a judicious blend of lectures, real-life case studies, computer simulations, case presentations, quizzes and assignments. Participants attend live online lectures every Sunday from 10 AM to 1 PM IST, plus two campus immersion modules totaling 6 days at IIM Ahmedabad. Evaluation includes assessments for all courses, with grades of "Satisfactory Plus" (S+), "Satisfactory" (S), or "Unsatisfactory" (U). A minimum of 80% attendance is required for certification.

Prof. Soman, an esteemed faculty member at I.I.M. Ahmedabad, holds a Ph.D. from the University of Groningen, Netherlands. With a strong academic foundation, including an M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from I.I.T. Bombay and a B.E. in Production from V.J.T.I. Bombay, his expertise lies in Operations and Decision Sciences. He specialises in research areas such as Food Supply Chains, Advanced planning & scheduling in process industries, and the application of simulation for decision-making.

Professor Debjit Roy

The IIMA Chair Professor - Operations and Decision Sciences

Prof. Roy, with a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and an MS in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, chairs the research and publications office at IIM Ahmedabad and co-founded the Centre for Transportation and Logistics. He authored the first book on Trucking Business Management by McGraw-Hill in 2016. Notably, in 2020, he was awarded the Inside IIM Best Professor of the Year and elected as the chair of the Facility Logistic SIG, Transportation Science and Logistics INFORMS Society.

Sriram Sankaranarayanan is a professor of Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he teaches a variety of courses on algorithms, theory of computation, mathematical optimization and programming languages. His research studies how computers can be used to verify and design other computer systems by combining ideas from mathematical logic, theory of computation and control theory. He uses these to analyze "safety-critical" systems ranging from autonomous vehicles to artificial pancreas devices for patients with type-1 diabetes. Sriram obtained a PhD in computer science from Stanford University. Subsequently he worked as a research staff member at NEC research labs in Princeton, NJ. He has been on the faculty at CU Boulder since 2009. Sriram has been the recipient of awards including the CAREER award from NSF, and the Provost's faculty achievement award at CU Boulder.
