Overview

The PG Certificate Program in AI-ML Engineering with LLM, SLM & Agentic Development is a 7-month industry-aligned program offered by IIT Jammu's I3C in collaboration with Futurense Technologies. Established in 2016, IIT Jammu is one of India's fastest-growing IITs, known for research excellence and industry collaboration. The I3C (Institute Incubation & Innovation Council) enables agile, industry-aligned certification programs with real-world relevance.

The program is designed for engineering graduates and professionals who want to move from using AI tools to building real-world generative AI systems. With 18 credits across 6 modules and a capstone, learners master the complete LLM stack — from transformer fundamentals and context engineering to SLM fine-tuning, production RAG architectures, and cloud deployment. The program includes 110+ contact hours delivered via live online sessions and a portfolio of 15+ production-grade AI projects.

Futurense Technologies serves as the industry and admissions partner, providing career assistance through its Futurense Leadership Council (FLC) — a collective of CXOs and AI leaders from Fortune 500 companies. Optional campus immersion at IIT Jammu allows learners to network with peers and mentors on campus.

Why Artificial Intelligence?

The PG Certificate in AI-ML Engineering with LLM, SLM & Agentic Development from IIT Jammu stands apart because it bridges the gap between theoretical AI knowledge and production-grade deployment. Unlike generic ML programs, this curriculum is built around the real enterprise AI stack: SLM fine-tuning, context engineering, agentic RAG systems, and LLMOps — skills that are in critical demand across fintech, healthcare, legal, and e-commerce sectors.

Learners build 15+ live AI projects with shareable URLs and publish 3 custom SLMs on HuggingFace under their own profiles, creating a recruiter-verifiable portfolio. The program is backed by IIT Jammu (I3C) certification — a credential from one of India's premier technical institutes — and supported by the Futurense Leadership Council comprising senior AI leaders from Google, Spotify, Schneider Electric, Aditya Birla Group, and more.

A 2-week bridge course worth ₹29,000 is included, covering programming foundations, GenAI, databases, and cloud. Futurense's career assistance ecosystem — job board, interview playbooks, mock interviews, mentor referrals, and salary negotiation support — ensures learners are job-ready upon completion. Professionals completing this program can target roles with salaries ranging from ₹12 LPA to ₹75+ LPA.
