Associate Professor of Engineering; Program Area Lead: Electrical and Computer Engineering

Dr. Kofi M. Odame is an Associate Professor of Engineering at Dartmouth College, where he leads the Electrical & Computer Engineering program area. His expertise lies in analog integrated circuits for nonlinear signal processing, focusing on developing ultra-low power circuits for implantable and wearable biomedical devices, as well as next-generation image sensors. Dr. Odame holds a BSc and MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University and a PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His notable research projects include electrical impedance tomography for pulmonary and cardiac applications, custom integrated circuits for prostate imaging, and asthma symptom monitoring. He has published extensively in reputable journals and has received several awards, including the Jeff Crowe '78 Grand Prize at the Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum. Additionally, he is a Senior Member of IEEE and serves on various NIH study sections.

MEng Faculty Director; Professor of Engineering

Dr. Eugene Santos Jr. is the Sydney E. Junkins 1887 Professor of Engineering at Dartmouth College, where he also serves as the Director of the Master of Engineering Program. His research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including nonlinear decision-making, innovative reasoning, emergent behavior, and probabilistic reasoning. Dr. Santos holds multiple degrees: a BS and MS in Mathematics from Youngstown State University, an ScM in Computer Science from Brown University, and a PhD in Computer Science from Brown University. He is actively involved in professional activities, serving on various editorial boards and as a member of the Department of the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board. His research projects include developing computational models for understanding complex systems and decision-making processes, with applications in fields such as healthcare and artificial intelligence.
