Overview
The M.Tech. Embedded Systems is a Work Integrated Learning Programme (WILP) spanning four semesters. BITS Pilani's Work Integrated Learning Programmes are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Working professionals can attend live-lectures from anywhere over an online technology-enabled platform, mostly on weekends or after business hours. The programme offers courses that allow learners to gain and apply knowledge of various Embedded Systems, and design fault-tolerant, safety-critical systems for real-time processing. The program provides access to Remote Labs that offer remote access to hardware and software tools used for designing and testing embedded systems on platforms such as MultiCore STM32, Raspberry Pi, and Xilinix FPGA. Students also use VLSI Architecture tools, Simulation tools, and Mathematical Modelling tools including GEM5, Tossim, Cheddar, Keil, CCS Studio, and MATLAB. The dissertation project in the final semester enables students to apply concepts and techniques learned during the programme. The continuous evaluation system provides timely feedback to help busy professionals stay on course.
