Who is the programme for?

The admission process for M.Tech. Automotive Electronics is designed to be straightforward for working professionals. Applicants must first meet the eligibility criteria, which includes being an employed professional with B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent in relevant domains and minimum 60% aggregate marks. A minimum of 1 year of work experience in relevant domains after degree completion is required. The application process begins with submitting an application through the Online Application Centre along with the one-time application fee of INR 1,500. Applicants need to provide academic mark sheets, certificates, and complete the Employer Consent Form authorized by their organization's HR or authorized signatory. Additionally, candidates must identify a mentor (typically their immediate supervisor or another senior person) and have them sign the Mentor Consent Form. Upon acceptance, candidates pay the one-time Admission Fee of INR 16,500 and the First Semester Fee of INR 70,100. The academic structure follows a semester system with continuous assessment throughout each semester, including graded assignments, quizzes, mid-semester exams, and comprehensive exams.

S. Raghuraman is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, currently serving as off-campus faculty in Chennai. He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University and an M.E. in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from Bharathiar University. With over 21 years of industrial experience, he has worked in R&D and product development roles at leading companies, including National Factory for Air Conditioners in Saudi Arabia, Blue Star Limited, and Awal Gulf Manufacturing in Bahrain. Since 2015, he has been part of BITS Pilani, contributing to academia with seven years of teaching experience. His expertise spans Autotronics, Advanced Engineering Mathematics, and IC Engine advancements, alongside conducting certification programs on fans, pumps, and HVAC systems.

Prof. Paramesw Chidamparam (Param) is an Associate Professor with the Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP) at BITS Pilani, based in Bangalore. He holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. With over 20 years of international experience in automotive, manufacturing consulting, and related industries, his expertise lies in automotive controls, vehicle dynamics, and diagnostics.
