The B.Tech. Process Engineering programme is a Work Integrated Learning Programme (WILP) spanning seven semesters. BITS Pilani's Work Integrated Learning Programmes are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Working professionals can attend live-lectures from anywhere over an online technology-enabled platform, mostly on weekends or after business hours. The programme enables students to apply concepts and techniques learned during the programme directly at their workplace. The education methodology blends classroom learning with experiential components including lab exercises, assignments, case studies, and work-integrated activities. The lab exercises combine remote lab access with virtual lab simulations using tools such as MATLAB, MULTISIM, LabView, and COMSOL - high-end computational tools used across all processes. The dissertation project in the final semester allows students to demonstrate their understanding of principles learned across semesters.
