Chan-Byoung Chae is an Underwood Distinguished Professor at Yonsei University, Korea, and a Visiting Professor at UC San Diego. He has held positions at Stanford University and Bell Labs. His research focuses on wireless mobile networks and molecular communications. He has received numerous awards, including the Ministry of Education Award (2024), CES Innovation Award (2023), and IEEE Fellow recognition. Dr. Chae has also served as Editor-in-Chief of IEEE journals and contributed to wireless communication standards during his time at Samsung Electronics.
Professor
Prof. Daesik Hong received the prestigious Haedong Award from the Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea (IEEK) and was named an Underwood/Avison Distinguished Professor at Yonsei University. These honors recognize his academic excellence, including 49 SCI papers and 94 patents in the last five years. The Haedong Award is given annually to individuals who contribute significantly to electronic engineering in Korea. The Underwood/Avison program honors top professors at Yonsei with an endowed chair and a three-year subsidy for their outstanding work.
