Michael Lenox, Senior Associate Dean and Chief Strategy Officer at the University of Virginia
Michael Lenox is the Senior Associate Dean and Chief Strategy Officer at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, where he is also a Professor of Business Administration. He holds a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in Technology Management and Policy from MIT. Lenox has extensive experience in teaching and researching business strategy, particularly focusing on technology strategy, innovation, and corporate sustainability. He previously served as Associate Dean and Academic Director of Darden's Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and has held faculty positions at Duke University and NYU. His research has been published in over twenty-five academic journals, and he has been recognized as a Faculty Pioneer by the Aspen Institute. Lenox teaches several courses, including Foundations of Business Strategy and Advanced Business Strategy, as part of the Business Strategy Specialization on Coursera, which aims to equip students with essential strategic management skills for today's business environment.
