Her career began as a middle school English teacher at Big Spring School District in Pennsylvania, where she pioneered several technological initiatives including a district-wide 1:1 program and Google Apps for Education implementation. As Program Director of the MS in Learning Design and Technology program at UMGC since 2020, she focuses on preparing professionals to create innovative, transformative learning experiences using emerging technologies. Her academic credentials include an EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of New England and a master's degree in instructional technology from Bloomsburg University. Her expertise spans artificial intelligence in education, learning analytics, and instructional technology, with current research interests focusing on virtual reality in teacher education, flexible online professional development, and best practices in online and blended learning. As President-Elect of the Maryland Society for Educational Technology (MSET) and an ISTE Certified Educator, she actively promotes effective technology integration in education. Her experience extends to the nonprofit and corporate sectors as a curriculum developer and instructional designer, and she maintains a strong commitment to leveraging technology for creating authentic, personalized learning environments.
