Neil Schulman brings over four decades of extensive experience in construction and project management to his role as a Lecturer at the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering. Since joining the university in 1994, he has made significant contributions to the Civil Engineering graduate program in project management, teaching crucial courses including Cost Engineering & Control, Sustainability Fundamentals for Project Managers, and Project Administration. His impressive career spans major commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, and government construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, managing projects ranging from $5 million to over $100 million. His academic journey includes teaching positions at prestigious institutions such as Johns Hopkins University Graduate School, George Mason University Graduate School, Montgomery College, and the New York Institute of Technology. Currently serving as a senior project manager at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) in Bethesda, MD, Schulman continues to blend practical industry experience with academic excellence. He holds a Master's degree from Long Island University (1970) and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland (1964), and has established himself as a valuable advisor to graduate students while actively participating in curriculum development through various college advisory boards and trade associations like the Associated Builders and Contractors.
