An Introduction to Global Health

This module introduces the overall concepts and definitions of global health and examines the question "What are the biggest global health challenges?". It also covers the central tools needed to measure global health burden.

This module focuses on infectious diseases, their relation to poverty and development, and examines three prominent examples of infectious diseases that are still unfinished agendas in large parts of the world.

This module examines non-communicable diseases (NCDs), the forces behind their global epidemic rise, and includes lessons on mental health and injuries - two major global health challenges often ignored when dealing with NCDs.

This module deals with maternal and child health, focusing on the important topic of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and child health.

This module examines the health aspects of global crises such as environmental challenges, climate change, and migration, and how they impact policy, health systems, and individual health in both low and high income countries.

This module focuses on the role of nutrition and water in health and wellbeing, with attention to sanitation, hygiene, and their relation to human development.

This final module covers the role of health systems, the impact of policy, global health governance, and the health aspects of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
