Jessica Rush Leeker is the Stephen M. Dunn Professor of Engineering Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Boulder. She earned her undergraduate degree from Penn State, focusing on Supply Chain and Information Systems, complemented by a minor in international business. Jessica's commitment to social impact is evident from her early experiences, including a summer spent in Haiti improving supply chains for urban water projects. She later pursued an MBA with a specialization in Sustainability and Operations at Purdue University, followed by a Ph.D. in Engineering Education, where she concentrated on corporate outreach methods in STEM.Before joining CU Boulder, Dr. Leeker served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Purdue University and has worked with leading consumer product companies like Unilever and Georgia Pacific. In addition to her academic pursuits, she is an accomplished children's book author and teaches yoga to children, reflecting her passion for mentoring the next generation. Her courses, such as "Their World and How You Define It" and "Your World and What Shapes It," encourage students to explore their identities and the influences that shape their perspectives. Through her diverse experiences and dedication to education, Jessica Rush Leeker aims to inspire students to engage with engineering and entrepreneurship meaningfully.
