Clinical Psychologist and Disability Studies Scholar at UCT
Dr. Brian Watermeyer is a clinical psychologist and disability studies academic, as well as a severely visually impaired individual. He earned an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2000 and a D.Phil in psychology from Stellenbosch University in 2009. Previously a lecturer in UCT’s Department of Psychology, he now serves as a senior research officer in UCT’s Division of Disability Studies within the Faculty of Health Sciences.
