While learners design a complete module plan, they are not required to create or implement the actual module. The course emphasizes practical application of virtual teaching principles in a real-world context.

Camille Funk holds a BA in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and an MA in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has experience teaching in both elementary and university settings and has worked as an instructional designer at Brigham Young University and George Washington University. Currently, she directs instructional design teams at UC Irvine and co-founded UPCEA’s eDesign Collaborative, where she serves as director.
