Tamy Chapman is an instructor for International Programs at the University of California, Irvine. She began her career in ESL teaching in 1996 and has extensive experience across all levels and subjects of ESL, including teacher-training classes. Her background includes teaching in high schools and community colleges in the U.S., as well as serving as an EFL teacher and trainer with the Peace Corps in China. Tamy holds a master’s degree in English from Texas Tech University and an ESL teaching certificate from UCI.

Brad Gilpin is an instructor at the University of California, Irvine, specializing in English language courses. Nicole (Jake) Jacobs is an instructor in the ESL program at the University of California, Irvine, where she has been teaching since 2008. She holds an M.A. in Linguistics and a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). With extensive experience both in the United States and abroad, including teaching in China, Nicole specializes in test preparation courses for standardized exams such as TOEFL iBT, IELTS, and GMAT. Her background equips her with the skills to effectively teach all proficiency levels and language skills.In addition to her test preparation courses, Nicole teaches foundational topics like verb tenses and passives. Her commitment to education is evident through her participation in teacher training programs, which further enhances her ability to deliver high-quality instruction. Nicole's passion for teaching and her expertise in language education make her a valuable resource for students aiming to improve their English language skills and succeed in their academic pursuits.
