Dr. Mauro Calise serves as Emeritus Professor of Political Science at the University of Naples Federico II, where he has established himself as a leading authority in political theory and digital education. His academic leadership includes serving as President of the Società Italiana di Scienza Politica (2008-10) and Vice-President of the International Political Science Association (2000-2003). His international career spans prestigious appointments including Visiting Professor at Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, Cornell University, and Research Fellow at Harvard Center for European Studies. As founder and President of Federica Weblearning, the Center for Digital Learning at the University of Naples Federico II, he has pioneered innovative approaches to online education. His scholarly contributions include co-authoring "Hyperpolitics: An Interactive Dictionary of Political Science Concepts" with Theodore J. Lowi, which offers a groundbreaking approach to understanding political concepts through an interactive platform. His research interests encompass state theory, political parties, executive elites, and political communication, with recent focus on Internet epistemology and culture. As Editor of the Rivista of Digital Politics and Director of the IPSA Web Portal for Electronic Sources, he continues to bridge traditional political science with digital innovation. Since 1995, he has maintained a weekly column for Il Mattino, demonstrating his commitment to public engagement alongside his academic work.

Distinguished Leadership in Political Science and Government Studies

Fortunato Musella serves as a professor of political science at the University of Naples Federico II, where he brings extensive expertise in government studies, presidential politics, and political party dynamics. From 2010 to 2017, he shared his knowledge as a teacher of political concepts in doctorate programs at the Scuola Superiore Normale di Pisa. His influence in Italian academia extends through his service on the Italian University Council (CUN) and the Executive Board of Federica Web Learning, where he contributes to advancing distance education innovation.
