Introduction to Roman Legal History

Francesca Galgano serves as Full Professor of European Juridical Science and History of Roman Law at the University of Naples Federico II, where she combines historical legal scholarship with contemporary applications. Her research encompasses Roman law, Byzantine law, and Canon law sources, examining their enduring influence on European legal culture. She holds significant positions in international academic cooperation, including coordination of agreements with University of Tunis El Manar and membership in the Aurora Unina-European Universities Alliance. Since 2015, she has served on the University's Equal Opportunities Committee, advancing workplace equality initiatives. Her teaching portfolio includes post-graduate courses in Equal Opportunities, Law and Society, and Family Law across various institutions.
