She has made significant contributions to the field through her work on whitepapers, including "The Future of Media Entertainment" with Donald Buckley, and her involvement in the synthetic voice workshop. Her commitment to ethical AI implementation is evident through her participation in privacy and security initiatives within the Open Voice Network. Prior to her current role, Mandel led content management for VOICE Summit in 2018 and 2019, and has extensive experience in startup advisory and business communications. She began her career in technology journalism, serving as senior editor at EIC/Intelligence, one of the first computerized database publishing companies. Mandel continues to shape the conversation around voice technology through her work on ethical principles and industry standards, while also running her own communications firm focused on helping businesses build visibility and credibility in their respective markets.
