Climate Change: The Science Behind the Crisis - Part 2

Explore the complex interactions between oceans, ice, and ecosystems in climate change, from current impacts to future solutions.

Explore the complex interactions between oceans, ice, and ecosystems in climate change, from current impacts to future solutions.

This comprehensive course delves into the intricate relationships between Earth's major systems and climate change. Students explore how oceans, which cover 70% of the planet, influence global climate through currents, temperature patterns, and carbon dioxide absorption. The course examines the cryosphere's response to rising temperatures, the biosphere's role in carbon sequestration, and volcanic impacts on global cooling. Participants learn about climate modeling for future forecasts and discover practical solutions for achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. The curriculum combines scientific understanding with practical approaches to addressing the climate crisis.
