This course provides a comprehensive exploration of entrepreneurship within family businesses. It begins by introducing the STEP Model, which outlines the entrepreneurial orientation unique to family enterprises and examines the concept of "familiness" - resources exclusive to family businesses. Students will then explore current megatrends affecting entrepreneurship and innovation, including the role of Family Offices in managing wealth across generations. The curriculum progresses through the entrepreneurial process, covering ideation techniques, customer discovery methods, and market validation strategies essential for successful ventures. Participants will learn to recognize business opportunities, develop robust business models, and craft compelling value propositions. The course culminates with training on creating effective business pitches for both family and non-family investors, incorporating storytelling techniques, and establishing foundations for intrapreneurship within existing family businesses. Throughout the program, students will work on a transgenerational entrepreneurship project, applying concepts in a practical context.
