A Pioneer in Preventive Cardiology and Clinical Research Innovation

David Maron serves as the C.F. Rehnborg Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he leads groundbreaking research in preventive cardiology as Chief of the Stanford Prevention Research Center. After completing his undergraduate studies at Stanford and medical degree from the University of Southern California, followed by residency at UCLA and fellowships at Stanford, he spent two decades at Vanderbilt before returning to Stanford in 2014. His distinguished career has been marked by leadership in landmark clinical trials, including the COURAGE trial and the ISCHEMIA trial, which have transformed the global management of stable coronary disease by emphasizing lifestyle modifications and medical therapy.
