Emily Mui is an Infectious Disease Clinical Pharmacist at Stanford Health Care. She earned her PharmD from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, followed by PGY2 subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases. After practicing as a General Medicine Clinical Pharmacist, she transitioned to her current role in Antimicrobial Stewardship. Emily actively precepts Pharmacy residents during their Infectious Disease pharmacy practice rotation and guides Infectious Disease fellows through the Antimicrobial Stewardship rotation.

Dr. Stan Deresinski is a Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases & Geographic Medicine at Stanford University, where he also serves as the Medical Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases training at Stanford. Dr. Deresinski has a distinguished career, having held various significant positions including Hospital Epidemiologist at Sequoia Hospital and President of the Professional Staff there. His extensive experience includes serving as a physician in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, directing the AIDS Program at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, and founding the AIDS Community Research Consortium. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to clinical teaching and infectious disease education, including the Russel V. Lee Award and the Kenneth L. Vosti Award. Dr. Deresinski teaches the course Antibiotic Stewardship, focusing on responsible antibiotic use to combat resistance and improve patient outcomes in healthcare settings.
