Dr. Jong Kwon Choe is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Seoul National University, where he has established himself as a leading expert in environmental engineering and sustainable water treatment technologies. His research trajectory shows a clear progression from his early career at Clarkson University through his current position at SNU, where he has been serving since 2016.

Environmental Engineering Scholar Advancing Water Treatment Research

Seon Young An is a fifth-year PhD student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Seoul National University, where she works under the guidance of Professor Jong Kwon Choe in the Environmental Engineering program. Her research focuses on catalytic production of hydrogen from ammonia, bringing expertise in environmental science and engineering from her previous education at Ewha Womans University, where she earned her BS in Environmental Science and Engineering. She also holds an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Seoul National University. As a researcher in the SET Lab, she contributes to addressing critical environmental challenges, particularly in the areas of sustainable energy production and environmental catalysis. Her work as a teaching assistant includes supporting courses in environmental engineering and drinking water treatment, helping to train the next generation of environmental engineers
