Pioneering Authority in RF Engineering and Academic Leadership
Dimitrios Peroulis serves as Senior Vice President for Partnerships and Online and Reilly Professor at Purdue University's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, where he has established himself as a leading figure in RF engineering and academic excellence. After earning his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2003, he has made significant contributions to reconfigurable systems, cold-plasma RF electronics, and wireless sensors, particularly in developing high-quality widely-tunable filters and novel filter architectures in the 1-100 GHz range. His remarkable achievements include election as an IEEE Fellow, the 2019 Tatsuo Itoh Award, the 2014 Outstanding Young Engineer Award from IEEE MTT-S, and the 2008 National Science Foundation CAREER award. With over 380 journal and conference papers, 11 patents, and numerous teaching accolades including Purdue University's highest undergraduate teaching honor - the Charles B. Murphy award, Peroulis has demonstrated exceptional leadership in both research and education. His impact extends beyond personal achievements through mentoring over 40 graduate students who have won more than 23 research and design competition awards, while continuing to advance high-power multifunctional RF electronics based on cold-plasma technologies and leading innovative research initiatives at Purdue University.
