Led by an award-winning master photographer, students will explore new perspectives on scientific imagery. The curriculum covers essential photography techniques, focusing on lighting, composition, and background selection to enhance visual presentations of scientific and engineering work. Through video tutorials, hands-on assignments, and peer reviews in small online groups, learners will develop skills in using various imaging devices. The course also features interviews with notable image makers and art directors, providing industry insights. While aimed at improving visual communication in STEM fields, the skills taught are broadly applicable to general photography.
