Dr. David Cook is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology at Kennesaw State University, where he brings a wealth of experience in engineering and education. He holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor in Applied Mathematics, a Bachelor and Master in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, an MBA from the University of Louisville, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Technology from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Cook's professional career began at GE Appliances, where he worked in product design for washers, dryers, and refrigeration before transitioning to various roles in quality management and engineering.In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Cook is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt, having designed and taught Six Sigma courses for over thirteen years. His courses on Coursera include DFSS for the 6 σ Black Belt, Six Sigma Principles, and various courses focused on the Six Sigma methodology's phases such as Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control.
