Expert in Public Health and Global Health Innovation
Dr. Matthew Harris (DPhil MBBS MSc PGCE FFPH) is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Public Health, holding a joint appointment between the Department of Primary Care and Public Health and the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London. He also serves as an Honorary Consultant in Public Health Medicine with the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As co-Director of the on-site Masters in Public Health, he leads the Global Health Challenges and Global Health Innovations modules. His research focuses on global health, innovation diffusion, and health services, with a particular emphasis on Reverse Innovation—adopting cost-effective healthcare technologies from low-income countries. His contributions in this field have earned him a Harkness Fellowship from the US Commonwealth Fund and an Imperial College President's Excellence Award in Teaching and Learning.
