Public Health Expert with Extensive Medical and Epidemiological Experience
After earning her medical degree from Cambridge University in 2002, she gained extensive clinical experience across various specialties, including general medicine, pediatric surgery, emergency medicine, anesthetics, and clinical microbiology. She later completed a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and received a PhD in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2011. Prior to joining Imperial, she worked as a Consultant in Public Health Medicine for Local Government, the NHS, and Public Health England, following specialist public health training.
Teaching Fellow in Public Health
Wendy Kwok is a Teaching Fellow in Public Health at Imperial College London, where she specializes in critical areas such as climate change and health, globalization and health governance, and migration and health. Her academic focus is on the intersection of public health issues and their broader social determinants, aiming to equip students with the knowledge necessary to address contemporary health challenges. Through her courses, Wendy emphasizes the importance of understanding global health dynamics and the implications of environmental changes on public health.
