Dr. Maura K. Cosetti is an accomplished Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and serves as the Director of the Cochlear Implant Program at the Ear Institute of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She is board certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, with additional qualifications in Neurotology. Dr. Cosetti completed her fellowship training in Neurotology/Skull Base Surgery at New York University and has since established herself as a leader in the management of hearing loss, specializing in both pediatric and adult hearing disorders. Her clinical expertise encompasses cochlear implantation, endoscopic ear surgery, skull base surgery, and various balance disorders.With over 50 published articles and chapters to her name, Dr. Cosetti is recognized nationally and internationally for her contributions to otology and neurotology. She teaches the course Introduction to Hearing Loss on Coursera, aiming to educate healthcare professionals about the complexities of hearing disorders and their management. Dr. Cosetti's commitment to advancing cochlear implantation technology and research has significantly impacted the quality of life for many patients with hearing impairments.
