This engaging course from HumorX explores how to cultivate conditions for humor to flourish in remote work environments. Led by Stanford Graduate School of Business experts Naomi Bagdonas and Connor Diemand-Yauman, the program introduces the five key enablers of humor in virtual teams: safety, connectedness, agency, growth, and purpose. Students learn the significance of each enabler and practical strategies to amplify them within their organizations. The course includes a diagnostic assessment to help identify which enablers team members naturally channel and where opportunities for growth exist. Through interactive team-building activities, participants learn to strengthen these enablers and create a foundation where levity and joy can thrive. As the second course in the three-part Remotely Humorous Program, it builds on fundamentals by shifting focus to team dynamics and culture. The instructors have collaborated with comedy professionals from The Onion and Funny Or Die to create an experience that helps professionals show up more authentically and effectively while fostering joyful team environments.
