This dynamic final course in the Remotely Humorous Program focuses on practical implementation strategies for institutionalizing humor in virtual team environments. Led by workforce culture experts Naomi Bagdonas and Connor Diemand-Yauman from Stanford's Graduate School of Business, the course builds on foundational humor concepts and team enablers covered in previous courses. Students explore behavioral research highlighting the psychological benefits of humor in teams and learn to weave levity into organizational fabric through three key drivers: legends (stories that define culture), rituals (recurring practices), and offers (invitations for engagement). The curriculum guides participants through evaluating their organization's current legends, rituals, and offers, then provides frameworks for enhancing them with purposeful humor. Developed in collaboration with comedy professionals from The Onion, Funny Or Die, and Comedy Central, this interactive learning experience equips leaders with actionable strategies to create more effective, resilient remote teams through intentional humor integration, helping professionals show up more authentically and joyfully while driving lasting cultural change.
