Distinguished Medical Editor and Health Policy Expert

Dr. Gregory Curfman serves as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and holds an affiliated faculty position at Harvard Law School, bringing extensive expertise in medicine, medical publishing, and health policy. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and MD from Harvard Medical School, he completed his training in internal medicine and cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. His distinguished career includes 28 years at The New England Journal of Medicine, where he served as Executive Editor, followed by his role as Editor-in-Chief of Harvard Health Publications. As a board-certified cardiologist and internist, he has directed the Coronary Care Unit at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Cardiovascular Health Center at Massachusetts General Hospital. His influence extends beyond clinical medicine through his contributions to health policy, including testimony before Congressional committees and participation in Supreme Court amicus briefs. Currently, he serves as Senior Advisor and Physician-Scholar in Residence at Yale Law School's Solomon Center for Health Law and Policy, where he continues to shape health policy and mentor the next generation of health law scholars
