At Howard University's Cathy Hughes School of Communications, she teaches audio production while conducting mixed-method research supported by the Center for Women, Gender and Global Leadership (2023). Her advocacy for women in music technology includes co-chairing the Recording Academy's Washington, DC chapter and co-creating Remote Controlled (2021). Her performance career spans international jazz festivals and concerts across multiple continents, earning her a GRAMMY nomination for Best Urban Alternative Performance (2010).
