Métodos de Investigación Cuantitativos

Learn quantitative research methods and their clinical use in health sciences. Master statistical and epidemiological tools for data analysis.

Learn quantitative research methods and their clinical use in health sciences. Master statistical and epidemiological tools for data analysis.

This comprehensive course introduces you to quantitative research principles in health sciences. You'll explore the validity and reliability components of epidemiological designs, understanding their applications, strengths, and weaknesses. The course emphasizes identifying validity through different types of biases and understanding confounding variables and their implications for drawing conclusions in health sciences research. Throughout the program, ethical implications of research are highlighted, emphasizing the importance of following current ethical frameworks. You'll begin by studying frequency measures, epidemiological occurrence, association measures, and diagnostic performance, then progress to understanding epidemiological design types and diagnostic tests. Later sections cover bias and confounding concepts, culminating in learning how to conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses. The course employs case studies, epidemiological studies, and analysis of real public health research to provide practical understanding and application of concepts.
