Dr. Chris Wedding is an award-winning professor at two prestigious U.S. universities: Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Over the past 20 years, he has educated more than 6,000 students, ranging from ages 6 to 60. In addition to his teaching, he is the Founder and Managing Director of IronOak Energy Capital, a firm specializing in renewable energy investment banking and advisory services. He also founded Entrepreneurs for Impact, a coaching program for climate change and energy entrepreneurs, and serves as a Senior Adviser at Cherokee, an environmental private equity and angel investment firm. Furthermore, Dr. Wedding is a Faculty Member at the Institute for Defense and Business and one of the earliest LEED Accredited Professionals in the multi-billion-dollar green building sector. His work is informed by an international perspective, having experience in 20 countries and fluency in three languages. He also authors a regular newsletter focusing on trends in cleantech finance.
