Transforming Business: Valuing social and human capital

This module introduces the course, the Capitals Approach, companies' responsibility to respect human rights, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

This module covers the starting points and benefits of a social and human capital assessment, entry points to social and human capital, impacts and dependencies resulting in business risks and opportunities, and prioritizing impacts and dependencies.

This module focuses on impact and dependency pathways, identifying good indicators for measuring social and human capital, valuation techniques, and real-world examples of measuring and valuing social and human capital in various business contexts.

This module covers applying results in decision-making processes, setting targets for change, transforming business practices, and communicating findings. It includes real-world examples of businesses taking action and transforming their practices based on social and human capital assessments.
