Teach English Now! Capstone Project 1

In this module, students design and write their own personal Teaching Philosophy. Students reflect on everything learned thus far and work through tasks and peer reviews to perfect their Teaching Philosophy. The module also includes teacher observations.

In this module, students build the first part of a 50-60 minute lesson plan. Focus areas include creating teaching objectives, developing warm-up activities, designing objective discussions, and effectively presenting instruction and modeling.

In this module, students build the second part of a 50-60 minute lesson plan. Focus areas include creating guided practice activities, developing independent practice activities, and assessment creation.

In this module, students create a one-week lesson plan. Focus areas include understanding the importance of objectives and assessments, learning to map out weekly lesson plans, and applying tips for effective weekly lesson planning.

In this module, participants share a teaching tip with each other in order to build a "teacher toolbox." Students observe another teacher and reflect on the observation while developing their own teaching tips to share.

In this module, participants create a video of themselves teaching part of their lesson. This is the culminating activity where students demonstrate the teaching skills they've developed throughout the course.
