Mario Vespa

Mario Vespa serves as a Technical Sales Expert at TenarisUniversity, bringing over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. John Mennie

John Mennie serves as Field Services Technical Advisor at TenarisUniversity, bringing decades of experience in supporting customers with complex oil and gas operations. Based in Aberdeen, Scotland, he has extensive expertise in North Sea operations and worldwide field services. His role involves advising on technical aspects of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) operations, particularly in running pipe in oil and gas wells. Tomás Castiñeiras

Tomás Castiñeiras serves as Regional Technical Sales Director for Central & South America at TenarisUniversity, bringing extensive international experience in oil and gas technology. After graduating with honors in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires in 1992, he has held various leadership positions within Tenaris, including Plant Maintenance, Engineering, and Product Design. His career highlights include serving as Regional Manager for Latin America, leading the Dopeless® technology project in the North Sea from Houston, and working as Technical Manager for Europe & West Africa in Norway. As Dopeless® Development Director, he successfully expanded the technology's reach to 70 countries, achieving sales of 400,000 tons by 2014. Since 2014, he has led technical sales operations across Central and South America, leveraging his comprehensive understanding of engineering solutions and market dynamics.

Mark Miodownik

Mark Miodownik serves as Professor of Materials & Society and Director of Institute of Making at University College London. After receiving his PhD in turbine jet engine alloys from Oxford University in 1996, he has published over 100 research papers focusing on smart materials, innovative manufacturing, and sensoaesthetic materials. His career path led from post-doctoral research at Sandia National Laboratories to becoming a leading expert in materials science and public engagement. His book "Stuff Matters" won the Royal Society Winton Prize, and his work in science communication includes regular appearances on BBC TV programs. As a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering since 2014, he has pioneered the concept of sensoaesthetics, applying scientific methodology to the aesthetic and emotional aspects of materials. At UCL's Institute of Making, he leads multidisciplinary research connecting arts with engineering, while championing the importance of materials science in society through innovative public engagement initiatives
