About Mizoram University

Established in 2001 through the Mizoram University Act of Parliament, MZU is a central university located in Aizawl, Mizoram. Operating from a sprawling 978.2-acre campus in Tanhril, the university offers comprehensive education through 9 schools and 18 academic departments. As a premier institution in Northeast India, it provides diverse programs across engineering, medical sciences, management, humanities, and social sciences, with a strong focus on research and innovation.

The Career Counseling and Placement Cell, established in July 2012, operates through three collaborative units: Career Counseling Cell, Placement Cell, and Equal Opportunity Scheme. The center provides comprehensive career guidance, helping students choose suitable careers while equipping them with essential knowledge and skills. Services include ongoing guidance for competitive examinations, communication skills training, group discussions, interview preparation, and aptitude test coaching. The cell also facilitates placement drives and maintains strong industry connections to ensure optimal career opportunities for students.
