Cedric X. Bryant

Dr. Cedric X. Bryant, the newly appointed CEO of the American Council on Exercise (ACE), brings an extraordinary blend of academic excellence and practical leadership to his role. With over 35 years of industry experience and an impressive portfolio of more than 300 articles and 40 books, Bryant's influence extends far beyond his Pennsylvania State University doctorate and Distinguished Alumni Award. His commitment to health and fitness is evident both professionally, through partnerships with organizations like the World Health Organization and CDC, and personally, as he stays active through pickleball, golf, and youth sports coaching. As ACE's leader, Bryant champions the accessible approach to fitness with his motto "Some activity is better than none, and more is better than some!" while advancing the organization's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives. His transition from president and chief science officer to CEO marks a new chapter in ACE's mission to promote active, healthy lifestyles across all communities, building on the strong foundation laid during Scott Goudeseune's 15-year tenure
